Don't buy from here

I would give zero stars if I could. I bought several plants from here, and most of them came damaged or dead. The customer service is terrible, with nobody offering any solutions on what to do with the dead or damaged plants I recived. If I had read reviews before purchasing, then I definitely would not have bought anything.

Dont order from this organization!

Placed an order mid-March and still have not received most of order. Contacted cust. Service via email and asked for refund if order was not being shipped. Was told order would ship late May and they did not usually do refunds. This is May 29th and still have not seen shipment. Too late for some of the things I ordered to be planted. Do not order anything from this company!

NO SERVICE

I ordered in early April. It is end of May and no product. They sent me a tracking number but I did not get anything. I cannot get a response via email, and the phone number is always busy.
I am applying for a refund of the payment. I will never use this company again.

Poor Service

I ordered several supplies over three months ago or a little less and I have yet to receive my order. The phone number is always busy. I have ordered in the past and received my order right away. I'm not sure if it's coronovirus related or poor customer service or fraud. My next move is to get in touch with Better Business Bureau to see if the company still exists.

Placed order on 3/28/2021

Placed order on 3/28/2021. Never received verification or tracking. Have not received product paid for. Have contacted them twice, second time asking for refund. Was told May 5 they might not be able to because it was in shipping. Still no shipment. Still no refund. I would have ordered again from them had I received the products I ordered because I love gardening. At this point I am ready to file a complaint with the BBB as they took my money and never shipped order and have not received a refund either.

Only giving a one because ave no choice…

Only giving a one because ave no choice if I want to go on. This is the worst company, (I have in my 64 years), had to deal with. Everything died but the bulbs and I’m being generous here.
Spent 167.00 and all arrived dead or dying. Dry, hot, withered. Took photos, sent last half of my mailing slip, invoice, and explained. They have returned my paperwork several (7-8), times asking for stupid things such as proof of purchase? My invoice was in their hands from day one. They asked for the first page of shipping for verification of what THEY MAILED TO ME! They have responded to my emails with he same questions or clam it was sent to the “appropriate department”. When asked where, to whom it was sent.....no response. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE! They owe me over 100.00 and it’s going to break their bank to do the right thing and refund my money! This is a scam company and it should be shut down. Customer service is non existent at DIRECT GARDENING. Do yourself a favor and scroll by this one.

STAY AWAY. THE WORST

Warning. Stay away from Direct Gardening. Horrible company that sends unhealthy/dead plants and pays no attention to planting schedules. Purchased early in 2019 and dead grape sticks were sent too late in the growing season. None sprouted. When Direct Gardening was contacted for warranty in 2020, it took several attempts to get a response. Then I was sent more dead grape sticks as a replacement and again much later than recommended planting. When I contacted them again a few days ago requesting healthy dormant grape plants, I was told the warranty was expired. All I want is healthy grape plants that should have been sent initially. For my other plants that never sprouted I was sent a $10 credit which didn't cover half my loss. Covered my shipping charges. Bad customer service, unethical policy and no quality control. Deserves 0 stars.

Avoid

Do not ever, ever, **ever** order from this company, ever. They don't ship plants, they lie; they ship roots. If you do end up with a plant or I should say barely a sprout, it will die.
I ordered in April, they took my payment in May, and I got a tiny bag in mid-June. Half of everything arrived dead. I shipped back, at my expense, half of the order and they have not issued a refund. The rest of my order? Died.
In fact, they're claiming I didn't pay them at all which is utterly absurd as I have the bank statement showing paid. Now they're threatening me with legal and police action, harassing me, trying to extort money I already had paid them. Half of which they still have not refunded.
They do not answer their phones. They reply by email so slowly and never with any actual useful information. These people are total scammers and I do not know how they sleep at night knowing what they do to people.
Reported to BBB and will report them other places. They need to be shut down.
Avoid at all costs.

Nonviable plants

Wish I had read the reviews before ordering. I ordered 8 different exotic plants in April. Despite inquiries, the order did not arrive until first week of July, way too late for most spring plantings. 1 plant was out of stock and replaced with some other ho hum thing. Planted everything in pots to keep in a greenhouse, away from high heat, to simulate spring conditions. 1 plant thrived, 2 others sprouted weak seedlings, the remaining 5 including the replacement never had a chance, turned into instant compost. In total, I got $18 worth of living plants for $102. Of the 6 freebies they included, 3 sprouted, but having gotten off to such a late start, won't amount to anything this year. I can't waste time dealing with their intentionally burdensome warranty - I'd rather chalk up the loss and move on to more reliable companies. I am not a black-thumbed amateur - I grow lots of endangered species and exotics and have to dig up and give away plants because my garden and greenhouse become so overgrown. No need to trim or divide the plants I got from Direct Gardening!

Don't buy here.

I ordered two pear trees on August 8th. FedEx delivered them to me with sticks sticking out of delivery bag, broken in pieces September 7. I sent the shipping label back the next day as I was told to do. I was told FedEx tried to redeliver them again on October 5th, that I refused them. I was home, FedEx never came to door. It takes this company way to long to get things right. I was told no refund. Now it's October 19th. No trees. Call back in two weeks they say. 3 months is too long to wait for two trees. This is still on going. I'll update in two weeks.

Wish I could give no stars

Wish I could give no stars. Also wish I had read reviews before ordering from this company. Ordered bulbs and roses. Came 3 months after purchased. Roses dead and bulbs were a moldy mess. Company made me plant anyway and wait 6 weeks. What a joke! Of course everything still dead and they refuse to replace or refund.
